Hi guys — I know it’s already Wednesday, but I’m still coming down from the amazing fundraiser we held for Ogar over the weekend. We, with the help of the community, Ogar’s family, and our family over at Jeff City CrossFit raised over $7,000 to give to his recovery fund. That’s $2k more than our goal, originally $5000. I think it’s safe to say that we do nothing small at CrossFit Fringe. Anyway, I of course served as the official photographer, so here are a few of my shots from the day. They are so inspiring…
We had everything taped off in red and yellow — Superman colors for Ogar!
Silent auction items on display for bid…
Because we made the WOD scalable to all experience levels — many in Kevin’s family were able to do CrossFit for the very first time. We had a full staff of coaches both in the WOD area and in the warm-up area, coaching and correcting movements and helping people with form and technique.
Our house was PACKED!
An introduction by Kevin’s sister and Nate and Tyler.
And on with the workout!
I can’t leave out the babies…
I’m so grateful and honored to be part of a community that not only looks out for one another, but our greater community — in this case someone most of them have never met. That’s what the true spirit of CrossFit looks like.
