Chocolate-Covered Potato Chips

By January 5, 2010Food, Jessica

I call them freak foods. Odd creations that crab your attention and befuddle the masses. It started with fair food it seems like. Like that year they started deep frying hostess twinkies or candy bars, or hotdish on a stick. This past year it was a matter of what interesting things you could coat with chocolate. Potato chips seem less daring than bacon, but when you see the picture, it’s like you’ve caught a glimpse of a five-legged cat. Would you eat chocolate covered potato chips? I think I would, because oddly as glaringly opposite at it seems, I think they would compliment one another and play nice.

I’m afraid they’d be good…but then again, I don’t like potato chips…so I have no clue! I’d eat one if someone bought one for me. My question is, do you buy them in singles or a whole bag?

  • Jessica says:

I think a small bag, they are sold almost as gourmet/specialty. Or I guess you could melt down your own bark and make a few on your stovetop. We don’t buy chips unless there is some social event, so I can’t even experiment at the current moment.

My Great Aunt Olga used to make potato chip cookies and they were to die for. I would totally eat these.
