Picture by my neighbor Mary, who we had the pleasure of meeting last week at our First Annual Neighborhood Block Party (pictures still forthcoming). She messaged me the other night looking for a dessert she could make for a family that wasn’t overly rich or sweet. Immediately I thought of this recipe for Apple Crisp that I saw on Simply Recipes. Warm and paired with vanilla ice cream I think it would be complete heaven and it worked wonders at their dinner party!
She added additional cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg. I just think its the perfect fall recipe. When you open the windows, let the cool air in and watch as your summer plants begin to look like you intentionally just gave up (my yard, not yours Mary!)
